be good for extreme badminton

purchased these last year and have only used them twice. they glow ok at night but if there are streetlights around or any other type of lights you cant see these enough to play with. next these are very small and heavier then regular birdies. that means these things are EXTREMELY fast, you cant play a casual game with these things. even the slightest tap sends the bird flying 40-50 feet or more. its like a regular birdie would be like hitting a softball with a baseball bat and these would be like hitting a small 1-2 inch solid rubber bouncy ball with the same baseball bat and having it fly out of the park. just play during daylight or inside a big building at night.

Nice design but too small

I was hopping for a bigger shuttlecock to play with my daughters. It still does the trick but I am somehow disspointed.

nice idea, bad design

i purchased the pro performance speedminton speeders. i have been playing badminton for 30 years and i'm acustomed to the normal amount of swing needed to volly a shuttlecock. these speeders are impossible to play with. if you hit it with a minimal amount of swing, it goes a mile. nice idea to be able to play badminton in the dark, but with these you need a badminton court the size of a football field. (i'm not kidding, the first one is on my two story roof.) i'm going to try and drill some holes in them to lighten them up so you might actually be able to play with them. also the light sticks are very small and are not very bright. if you love badminton as much as i do, save your money and play during the day.

Works well!

I have always wanted to be able to play badminton in the dark and now I can! These light up well enough to be easily seen in the dark, and are a lot of fun. In fact the darker it is the better you can see them. They really should come with the light sticks required for illumination though rather than being two separate items.

glow in the dark birdies

i am extremely satisfied with this product! ya they are a bit smaller as the usual birds, but they surely do the job, and i found that the necklace glow sticks work just great as the light source for this product. but surely the 8pk speedlight that is offered in addition to purchasing the birdies, is an awsome deal too!!!... so don't hazitate add them to your shopping cart. oh and don't forget to look around for more awsome stuff! like other birdies! the selection is great! have fun.
